Assalamwalaikum/hello everyone. Hope you are all doing well. Today I am sharing this easy dal fry recipe with all of you. All you need is a pressure cooker and a non stick pan. Here's what you will need:
1) 1/4 to 1/2 cup Chana dal, soaked for at least 4 hours
2) 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
3) 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
4) 1/2 tsp red chili powder
5) Salt as per taste
6) 1/2 tsp chat masala
7) 1 onion, chopped
8) 3 to 4 cloves of garlic, chopped
9) 2 to 3 green chillies, chopped
Wash and soak the Chana dal for at least 4 hours. In a pressure cooker, add the soaked dal along with salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and just enough water to soak the dal (excess water will cause to leak, which will give you the extra task of cleaning up🤣). Bring to a boil and then pressure cook for at least 3 to 4 minutes. Turn off the heat. Once the pressure releases, open the cooker. Add the chat masala and stir well. In a non stick pan, add 3 to 4 tbsps oil and heat it. Add the chopped garlic and fry till it slightly browns. Add the chopped chillies and the onion. Once the onion brown add to the dal and give it a stir. Enjoy with hot rotis!
